What is Five Element Chirology?

Five element chirology (Gr-kheri-hand-logos -knowledge) is a universal hand reading style and a dialogue therapy. The system includes traditional palmistry but is more primarily designed around the principles and innate behavioural characteristics of the elements, earth, water, fire, air and chi. The language of the elements is all-embracing, all-inclusive and applies to all humanity.

The how-to of chirology and palmistry involves examination of lines, glyphs, mounts, textures, shapes, colours and many other hand formation markers, that reveal surprisingly accurate information about people’s authentic character, temperament, personality, patterns of behaviour and even events that have left their imprint.

In a hand reading, we hold hands for a while, and with your hands as our map, together we explore what is currently going on in your life, against the backdrop of your life story. This is an integrative, supportive experience, which has nothing to do with predicting the future, or fortune-telling, or any augury or prophesy. A chirology / palmistry reading is a dialogue and, to some extent, a touch therapy. I teach and promote chirology as a counseling and touch therapy that deserves to be more sensitively understood, and more commonly practiced.

Palmistry has and always will have its shadow companion, the ‘crafty’, deceptive, wily unscrupulous charlatan ‘reader’, who uses shrewdness, guile, cunning and the ‘gift of the gab’ for unethical purposes. Historically, the power and magic of this ancient craft is feared by many, thus practiced by few.

Our hands, and our fingerprints, are our personal guides to self-understanding. Chirology is helpful for many purposes, conditions, or situations. A hand reading is a universal remedy that accommodates every human being.
